Lativus is a long way from home. Deciding to travel the world at a relatively young age, she was distinctively separate from others of her kin. Her parents were very supportive and provided her with almost all she needed. A strict yet loving upbringing and a firm respect for the beliefs of others made her see the world not just as good or evil, but a mix of things.
Unfortunately the world we live in is not as balanced as her upbringing. After she left the Great Forest for her quest to find meaning in life, she has had to fend for herself on many occasions. The men of the North and the wild elves of the hunt were a fairly common adversary. Having fought against so-called civilizations for many times, Lativus saw that one could only find a balance of sorts in the wilds.
On her way to the west she came upon an injured young cougar. It was a female and in great pain over the gaping wound left on it’s hind leg from a trapper’s trick. Quickly soothing the beast with a sedative, she set to work freeing it. But to her surprise, the cougar did not sleep, nor did it whimper when Lativus cut it’s leg in order to pry away the vicious cords embedded in the flesh. Instead, the beast laid it’s eyes to the ground and growled softly at every move she made. Once the deed was done and the beast was free, it did not run away nor did it show any signs of hostility. To Lativus this was a sign from Anima and she has traveled with her cougar, named Sand, ever since.
To her surprise, Sand was not the last damsel in distress she was about to save…
